Green Beanie Books. Logo for publisher of collegiate-themed children’s books that are as much fun for adults as they are for kids. Back in the day, college freshmen had to wear beanies of different colors (depending on the school) to be identified. The publisher attended Washington State University (Go COUGS!), where the chosen color for said beanies was green. The act of making the poor freshmen wear beanies was actually a form of hazing, but back then it was just an accepted part of college life. And not everybody got a trophy. Ah, the good ole days.
